Focus on Page content:

Each page should focus on a single keyword or keyword phrase. Keywords should appear in the title. Bold the keyword or keyword phrases related to, but not overdo it. Check the density of keywords on the page using any of free online keyword density checking tools. The density must be between 5% and 15% per page. If the density is higher than that website risks at spam issue.

Select the appropriate title tags:

Title tag is first seen by the search engine spiders, so this is the most important area to place the keyword. Title should consist specific keywords from the page. Title tag is the text that will appear in the title bar of a web browser when someone visits the web page.

Design the site for visitors as well as search engines:

Design the site for visitors under user friendly concept as well as for search engines. Use alt tags for all images and title tags for all links. And possibly use the keywords as alt values and title values. Minimize the use of frames, flash and javascript.
